Amongst our police restraints from China are some very special pieces, which cannot be found in other countries. Please note that the edges of these restraints are mostly less smooth than those of similar products from other countries. It seems that the comfort of prisoners does not really matter in China.

These nickel-plated handcuffs are identical in size to model HC-11W shown before. But they are especially pick proof, because the teeth on the jaw are split down the middle into two rows (separated by a thin metal plate) to prevent shimming. Therefore they need a special key with two bits - no standard handcuff-key can open these cuffs. The double lock is activated by inserting the key-pin into the slot and pushing a little lever in direction of the keyhole. To unlock this double lock you must turn the key against opening direction first.

These black handcuffs have some specials. They use a toothed wheel instead of a ratchet, which makes them more secure against shimming. The key-bid is also unusual - no standard key will open these handcuffs. The flat key-thorn is used for the non-common double lock. To double lock the handcuffs insert the key-thorn into the slot on the side of the lock case near the key hole and turn it in direction of the bow.

This nickel plated model closely resembles the famous American "H&R Super 123" handcuffs from the 1930s, a model which was very popular amongst FBI agents, because of its high security. The "H&R Super 123" is still considered as one of the most secure swing through handcuffs ever made. The horizontal diameter is quite small, so these cuffs do not fit to big wrist sizes. Please note that the black finish is not completely shielding, so that bare steel can be seen on some places.
