The Turbo-Cuff is a combination of a so called Lilly style handcuff (like it was used during the American Civil War) and a modern tumbler lock, making the restraint extremely secure. On the other hand the nickel-plated handcuff is not uncomfortable to wear, because of its width of 2 cm and the very well rounded edges. The inner diameter of the cuffs is about 5 cm horizontally and 6.5 cm vertically. The distance between the cuffs is about 3 cm.

Manacle in medieval style. The restraint is about 3.7 cm high and made of nickel plated steel. There are two different sizes. The inner diameter of the smaller version is about 4.3 cm x 5.7 cm and of the medium version it's about 4.5 cm x 6.5 cm. It is locked via a screw mechanism but can be double secured by an additional small padlock (which is not included).

This is a replica of vintage French handcuffs from the late 19th century like it was used by the police and in prisons. The handling of the restraint is slightly laborious compared to modern handcuffs and so it is rather meant for the collector than for actual use, although it is of course fully functional. The bows are made of single links similar to a bicycle chain. The cuff is locked with a kind of screw-bolt and a special screw key. There are two locking positions per side. Correctly applied it is very difficult for a restrained person to free himself, even if he had the key. The handcuff is made of nickel plated steel, the workmanship is excellent.

This is a very nice nickel-plated replica of the world famous Hamburg 8 - made of exquisite craftsmanship. The original (made by the company Kayser) handcuff from the 1930s was very popular by the German police and also by escape artists worldwide, because it could be simply but ingeniously gimmicked for fast release. The restraint can be quickly snap shut. To unlock the cuff the key must to be pushed into the key-hole to press down the locking bolt. These are surely not the safest handcuffs of the world, but if they are applied correctly, it is surely very difficult for the restraint person to unlock the cuff, even if he has the key. In completely folded condition the cuff is unlocked and always ready for action. The inner diameter is 4.5 x 6.5 cm, the cuffs are about 1.1 cm broad and 0.8 cm thick.

These are heavy brass handcuffs with a Hamburg 8 locking system. Inner diameter of each cuff is about 5.2 cm x 7 cm. Despite the heavy weight the handcuffs are quite comfortable to wear, because the shackles are 2 cm wide and all edges are very smoothly rounded. The restraint can be snap shut - so to lock these handcuffs you just have to push the bows together. For unlocking the key needs to be inserted into the lock case to press the lock-latch down, which allows the cuff to be opened. This is of course not the most secure of all locking systems, but it is fast and easy to handle and there is almost no danger that the lock might ever be defective causing the cuff to stay shut.

Those very rigid nickel plated handcuffs were produced in the 19th century by British manufacturers like "Frogatt". This model is called "Irish 8", because it was mainly used in Ireland. The historical originals are very rare and expensive. So this is a good opportunity to enlarge your collection of vintage police restraints. The inner diameter of the Ladies size version is about 4.1 cm / 4.5 cm x 5.9 cm. The inner diameter of the medium size variant is about 4.8 cm x 6.0 cm and the inner diameter of the Men size version is about 5.5 cm x 7.4 cm. The bows are about 1.7 cm broad.

This exquisite nickel-plated collar is made of several single links, similar to a metal watchband, but heavier. The links are about 1.5 cm wide and 0.7 cm thick. A ring is attached to the front. The collar can be locked by placing a padlock (not included) on the backside. This collar fits to neck circumferences from about 32.5 cm (small), 38.5 cm (medium) and 45.5 cm (large). The collar encloses the neck very closely and does not stretch, so you should better add 0.5 to 1 cm to your normal neck circumference (men should not forget the Adam's apple).

This is a reproduction of the extremely rare "Bavarian Justice High-Security Leg Irons". Only 20 pieces of the original have been made and only half of them are in the hands of private persons. The rest went directly to the Bavarian Legal Authority for use in prisons, transport or / and court. It is nearly impossible for a handcuff collector to get an original nowadays. So this is your chance to upgrade your collection with this nicely made replica. The reproduction has four locking positions (with an inner diameter of about 8.6 cm x 8.5 cm to 8.6 cm x 11.5 cm) and like the original also uses tumbler locks, which do not allow the bows to be snap-shut - you need the key to open or close the shackles. Such simple chain handcuffs were used by the Carabinieri (Italian police) in the past but they are even in actual police use in Turkey nowadays. By threading the small end of the chain through both of the big rings you can build two loops, which closely surround the wrists (or ankles, because the chain is 85 cm long) of the prisoner. Afterwards the chain is secured by use of a padlock. If used as handcuffs, the rest of the chain can be used for leading the prisoner or for chaining him to a fix object to prevent escape.
